Short walk will take you to 6,255 ft. near Bethel Ridge with
incredible views. Good roads in the area with many open camping
spots available. Cache is a 4x4 inch snap-n-lok box.
I was camping in this area last Fall and did the nearby The Howling
cache. I walked up to the top of the outcropping and was amazed at
the view. At 6,255 ft. you'll have outstanding views in all
directions. There is old lumber and debris, so this might have been
an old lookout site years ago. Must do cache in clear weather. Take
the Bethel Ridge road off White Pass (Hwy 12) past the east end of
Rimrock Lake. Good gravel roads lead up and over the ridge past the
turn off to Cash Prarie and then another 4 miles to a left on FS
190. Follow the old road and your GPS. R/T hike of less than 3/4
mile with easy open travel. Enjoy the great views of Mt Adams, Mt
Rainier and the White Pass valley.
