Join us for a Meet
and Greet on March 21 from 10 am to Noon and enjoy some great
hiking trails and search for caches galore -- including the second
oldest cache in SD County. It used to be quite a cardio-challenging
hike to get to the top of Double Peak. Now you can drive here.
There are picnic tables, restrooms, water fountains, a playground
for the kids, and even an amphitheater -- all provided by the City
of San Marcos as Double Peak is now one of their newest city parks.
There is a road climbing all the way to the top and plenty of
parking.
Bring the kids. Pack a lunch. Sign the log. Hike. Chill.
Chat. Take pictures. Swap lies. Fly a kite. Talk story. Hike some
more. Relax. Eat some more. Celebrate Spring.
We have
reserved a covered picnic area, so the event will happen rain or
