This event is one of many happening all over the world on the
date 09-09-09 at 9:09 in their respective time zones. Come out
enjoy some Ice Cream at this once in a lifetime event.
The Ninth Year, Ninth Month, Ninth Day, Ninth Hour, Ninth
Minute, and Ninth Second mission began in 2005 at the FlyinV's of
South Jersey Geocaching event who did the first event to
commemorate 05-05-05. That year the states of Georgia, California
and Idaho along with New Jersey marked that notable day for the
first time. That event took hold and was repeated in 6-06-06 (7
states), in 07-07-07 (4 states) and 08-08-08 (15 worldwide
locations).
Every year New Jersey has been one of those states holding this
event. This year we have been joined by Arizona, California,
Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Michigan,
Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pa,
South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington. This event has gone
global and have added Australia, Canada, The Czech Republic, Japan,
Portugal, and the United Kingdom. It is known as a world
multi-event!
This evening "parking lot" meet and greet event will be short
and sweet due to the hour. Come out and Join your fellow cachers
for some Ice Cream and conversation from 8:08 pm through 9:09 pm
and celebrate this once in a lifetime combination of month day and
year.
