How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Mount Pendeli is located on the north of Athens and it is famous for its white marble. Most of the ancient Greek monuments were made of Pendeli's marble.

The cache is located by a dirt road and can be reached on foot or by mountain/dirt bike.

There are two ways to the cache.

1. Drive to Kifisia and find Xenias Street. Follow Xenias uphill until you reach the begining of the dirt road at 38 4.84N, 23 50.42E. From there follow your GPS unit to the cache.

2. Drive to Kifisia and find Platonos Street. Follow Platonos until you reach the very end of it. From there follow the footpath which crosses the cache's dirt road. Turn left and you are almost there.

The cache contains several DVDs. All of the DVDs were distributed free of charge with newspapers and are for private use. The titles along with their relevant IMDB links are:

The cache also contains a logbook with pen, pencil and sharpener, a geocaching declaration and a toy donkey from the movie SHREK.
