Geocache Description:

Inside the Secret Passage - Courtesy of Abraxas3d

As Harry Potter trudged through the murky knee deep water to get to the mouth of the tunnel that led to the secret passage to Hogsmeade, he had only one thought in his mind the reward of seeing Ron and Hermione in Honeydukes.

When he reached the trap door that led to the cellar of Honeydukes he pushed it open carefully and what a sight – there were jelly slugs and fizzing whizbees and delicate sugar spun quills you could suck on during class and many more exotic sweets. Harry tried to find Ron and Hermione which was awfully hard to do because the small shop was cram packed with Hogwarts students.

When he caught up to them Hermione was so shocked she nearly screamed out loud “Harry, how did you get here?” she asked.“Did you learn how to apparate?” Ron asked excitedly. As Harry told them about the secret passageway to Hogsmeade, they devised a plan to let GeoCachers go to Hogsmeade too.

Many thoughts raced across Harry’s mind; what if they get too scared? What if they don’t like getting wet? What if they are afraid of the dark? What if they didn’t like bats? The list went on and on, but then he thought - “Oh well” “if they know what they are doing and bring a bright lantern, they would be ok”.

They would need to go into the tunnel and keep walking for just over 1,000 paces. After a slight incline in the passageway, they would come to a very small room and once there they would be able to find some clues that told them they had reached the site. They would need to identify the clues in order to prove they had really made it to the secret room under Honeydukes.

Harry concluded that any successful Geocacher would need to e-mail the a description of the clues to Harry’s good friends The DAK Girls. After that, they would be able to proudly say that: They too have been to Hogsmeade!
