This cache may be more difficult the more rain we get. But the again, the lower that water is the more vegetation and drag through the muck will occur. Please be aware of the weather, and your health when attempting this cache. It will not be easy any route you take to it. Not only did I use a canoe, I used chest waders as well.
This game is all about the challenge. Terrain becomes an important factor here. Lets see if you can score some fun points here.
Besides the reward to finding this container and the log, the scenic views you will acquire are well worth the paddle out here. The Vernon Marsh is open to various hunting season and the terrain may change at anytime. The Department of Natural Resources does controlled burns out here often in the spring. This cache is easiest when accessed via canoe from the parking location. Though it is possible, but not nearly as safe to access from another entrance.Enjoy!
The faster you can log the cache, with as little help as needed, the more points an individual can score. The more in the group, the points will be divided amongst. Feel free to post pictures of the signed log, and overall scenic pictures. Of course the FTF has the opportunity to score the most amount of points. Adding pictures helps as well.
DNR form 2500-118 has been submittted for permission to hide cache on DNR land.
Congratulations Jerrys Dad on the first to find, and the first to complete this series.
