TOP Tyee River Clean-Up Cache In Trash Out® Event

Umpqua Community College's TRiO program, the Transfer Opportunity Program, will be organizing a clean-up of the boat launches and swimming holes along the Tyee river on August 10. The director of the program wanted me to hide some caches to incorporate the game in the effort, and I said, "Why not make it a CITO Event, and incorporate the local caching community in the clean-up effort?"

We will be meeting at Dakota's Pizza at 8:15-8:30 am and caravaning out to Grandma's Swimmin' Hole, and working our way back to the Tyee Landing for lunch.  There will be a series of new caches published on the day of the event at each of the clean-up sites (the ones that don't already have a cache, that is).  This will be a great opportunity to get that CITO/EarthCache souvenir too.
