Hej

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed near the former entrance of Edvin.

Edvin was built in 1952 and was a huge, top-secret defense-facility with 270 rooms and 4000 square meters that was blasted out of the small mountain. Edvin was built to withstand a 500kg bomb, it had its own power- and water-plant and it had protection against radiation. The facility contained two floors and its gate was large enough to swallow trucks.

What the inside looked like (from BT, the newspaper)

In case of war, this was the place from which "Älvsborgs län" was supposed to be ruled. Today the facility is "de-militarized" and it’s closed, sealed and partly filled with concrete.

The cache is placed in a crevice and is a 1.2L Curver box that contains from the start:
Log book, Pencil, Geocaching instruction sheet, Lanyard, Fuse, Memorymodule, Plastic character.
