Geocache Description:

This cache was inspired by Wee Willy's WMD cache.

*****THE ABOVE COORDINATES ARE BOGUS***** I can assure you that the treasure you seek is not floating in the middle of the lake. Cool idea but alas it would float away to different coordinates.

To find the treasure in question you must decipher the Pirates Code (See picture, or contact triplejcaching@yahoo.com for an easy template to keep track of symbols)

How do you decipher said code you might ask!?!? Obviously you must find a Pirate that understands the code and can translate it for you. There are 10 crew members to be found in different ports(caches) throughout Tarrant County. Each of these crewmen knows the meaning to one of the symbols in the code. If you are fortunate enough to cross paths or share a drink with each of these 10 pirates then you will have the information you need to make your compass point true and sail to the Dead Man's Chest.

When posting about your meeting with one of the crew don't start a mutiny by sharing your new found understanding of the symbols. Keep your mouth shut in both the TB’s log and this cache log or be prepared to lose your tongue matey. You may, however, identify a crewmember by his name or TB Number and share what ports you have seen them in. NOWHERE, in the text of any log, should you mention the Pirates Tracking Number or ever share the secret of the Pirate's code, you will quickly find your post walking the plank.

In anticipation of one or more pirates being taken prisoner, being too drunk to speak, being mutinied upon, drowning, or being swallowed whole my the kraken otherwise known as muggles, replica crewmen have also been sent sailing the seas to insure the Pirates Code is never a lost language . A replica may look like the original Pirate, might be a different Pirate, or might just be a small scroll of paper with a translation of the symbol. These scrolls are small enough to fit into any port(cache) you might come across in your journey.

A few simple guidelines for your journey. When you come across a crew member with a metal Travel Bug tag, log it as a find and keep it sailing from port to port. Also, take some consideration into which port you may leave the Pirate at, would like to keep this crew sailing for as long as possible. When you come across a replica or non metal tag, do not log the pirate as a find, feel free to discover it though and keep the Pirate sailing.

Last, NEVER, under any circumstance, situation, or while being tortured take one of these crewmembers out of Tarrant County. Again, DO NOT REMOVE FROM TARRANT COUNTY. The pirates have no business being in other waters and surely no one in a foreign land will understand their language.

Good Luck to all, there are several special and valuable treasures awaiting you scallywags who arrive to the chest first. Please only take one and leave the others for the second, third, fourth, and fifth to arrive.
