Georgia Geo-Campers at Etowah/Red Top Event Cache

Red Top is so excited to have us back, they are giving Georgia Geo-Campers a 10% discount on their campsite fees! The discount will be applied at check-in when you identify yourself as part of Georgia Geo-Campers group.

Torchlight Tour at Etowah Mounds is a very very special annual event. It is the only time that visitors are allowed on the Mound after night fall and they have invited us to participate in this unique activity. If you would like join us in the Torchlight Tour, please include how many in your will-attend log.

Our group will be gathering in the "Orange Section" of the tent sites (no water/no electricity). This is not a "group" camping area. Individual reservations for these camp sites should be made with the park either on their website or by calling the park.

Itinerary:
6:00pm Meet & Greet - Group gathering - Photo Shoot at Etowah Indian Mounds*
6:30pm Exclusive for Georgia Geo-Campers - Torchlight Tour at Etowah Mounds
9:00 - 10pm Bonfire fun and our Jackpot Camper Drawing at Red Top Mountain State Park (see additional waypoints "Campfire")

*The fee for the Torchlight Tour is $6.00 per person. Please bring cash.

We are also pleased to be teaming up with Georgia Geocachers Association (GGA) again! Be on the lookout for their Saturday daytime event.

Be sure to arrive early to set up and take full advantage of all the Geocaching, and to explore these great parks.

First time camper? Parks will assist you and provide camping gear and supplies at eight of the state parks.

You will need folding chairs, food & beverages, flashlights, guitar, and other nite time gear for siting around a glowing camp fire. If you happen to capture some of the fun, add the pictures with your "attend" log.

There is a $5 gate fee if you don't have a park pass to enter any State Park.
