Cache is a green ammo box located on Chambers Island in the Bay of Green Bay.
The northern side of Chambers Island has a cove that is popular with boaters during the summer months. My family and I go boating here and I thought it would be a great place for a cache. Most of the island is privately owned so the cache is placed just off the beach which is public. There is even an airstrip on the island so if you have your own airplane you could find the cache that way. I doubt the bay compleatly freezes over in the winter so I don't know if you could get to the island in the winter.

The beach on chambers is privately owned. Actually, the only place on the island that is public is the light house park.

This was the first of 3 caches found on Chambers. Only one other boat anchored in the bay and we were able to get close to wade in. I remember anchoring out with our 26 ft S2 a number of years ago. Good memories. I had a friend bring me out on his boat from Ellison Bay and had a wonderful ride. My friend was experiencing Geocaching for the first time and this was his first find. TFTC. TNLNSL.

We decided to enjoy a beautiful Door County day by taking a boat trip out to Chambers Island, somewhere we have never been. Naturally, the sole purpose of coming out here was to cache! We were told that the beach would have had 30 - 40 boats if we had come yesterday, but we had the place to ourselves today! It was interesting finding ourselves closer to Michigan than back to the Wisconsin mainland. Thanks for placing the cache and providing an excuse to take a trip that the kids will not soon forget!

TylerW and I chartered a boat to the island today. Coming to Door County often, we always wondered how we would get here. Well, if you don't have a boat of your own, it's as easy as TylerW checking the internet for availability of charters. The kids seemed to have a good time as well. We traded small items and took the TB. Thanks,

Still in very good condition with some fun things. My North Carolina Nephew was along and challenged him to swim ashore. His first bay bath. Great fun.
