Geocache Description:

A multistage cache located in the historic section of downtown Flagstaff.

There are only two parts to this cache. The first part is a virtual cache that will provide vital information that will help you find the second/final cache which is a micro cache.

(1) Go to the coordinates at the top of the page. You are looking for a granite plaque that has three dates (years only) inscribed on its surface. Two of the dates (years) are in the past, one is in the future. Write down or commit to memory the date (year) in the future for future reference.

(2) Convert the following coordinate to UTM format: N35 12.948 W111 37.460. Once you have the coordinate in UTM format subtract the year obtained in (1) from both latitude and longitude. Convert the result back to hddd mm.mmm format. This is the location of the final cache.

Note: The container is small and will hold only the smallest items. Also, bring your own writing implement. And finally, when looking for the final cache your feet do not have to leave the sidewalk.
