Clark Reservation is a lovely state park, with many interesting geological features: crater lake, rock cliff overlook, and large sunken dry holes, to name a few. There are picnic areas, a nature trail and a variety of park programs. Since there is no swimming here, there are no summer crowds, except perhaps on the weekend of the Jamesville Hot Air Balloon Festival in June at nearby Jamesville Beach County Park. If you really want to swim, stop there when you're done.
The cache is in the woods about 100 yards off a trail, and darn close to 43N latitude, exactly! Pick up a map of the trail system from the rack at the ticket booth. During the summer season you will pay a $5 parking fee. The main trail head is right off the parking lot, near the public restrooms. Start there, turn on your GPS, look at your map and compass, and go have fun!

"Clark Reservation State Park is a geologic wonder of the last ice age and a botanist's paradise. The park's natural features include rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops, woodland and meadow, a wetland and a glacial plunge basin lake in which the surface waters and bottom waters do not mix. Fishermen can catch pickerel, bullheads and sunfish; while birdwatchers may observe cedar waxwings, kingfishers and woodpeckers. Guided nature walks leave from the Nature Center building, which also offers numerous exibits. Hikers may choose from five trails, including the cliff trail, which has a ledge overlook 175 feet above the water."
