Geocache Description:

A treasure hunt through lower Manhattan

You start this hunt at a spot familiar to movie goers "Heere at the Wall". You need to go while the Church grounds are open to find the first clue. The Coordiates should take you to cemetary where a famous American is buried. Not mentioned in the movie he was (approptiately) the Treasurer of the United States (before being shot in a duel. Next to him is another famous American. One of the richest men of the time and a poineer in shiping. You will need to find his last name. There is a street north of your location that bears his name. That is your next destination. When you get to the road a short walk away head East. In theme with the hunt you will pass Gold Street and come to a Light house. This lighthouse commemorates the Titanic. Go past the lighthouse till you get to a boardwalk. Take a right and keep the ships on your left. Walk by the ships and look for a phone. Pretend to make a call. Cache is velcroed under. Original site was past this location but construcion has removed the area. Cache is smaller but should be return when construction is finished. This cache is a bit of a walk. It is meant as a historical trip as well as an adventure in theme with the movie that ended here. Along the way you wil see One of the original surviving churchs in New York, the Financial district (where the real treasure is), A tresure trove of books , The Strand bookstore and a piece of Old New York.
