Geocache Description:

We have changed the name of this cache from Lives to Lived due to the death of Patrick Lichfield

Car Parking is in the village of Great Haywood; a pleasant village where the Staffs & Worcs Canal meets the Trent & Mersey Canal. Lord Lichfield lived close by at Shugborough Hall. Approach the cache from the T & M canal towpath going over and under two bridges with two very different modes of transport, many years ago the one being partially to blame for the demise of the other. A lovely twenty minute walk will take you to the cache site. (No climbing necessary) The cache is a small plastic container just big enough for the tiniest of swaps. There is a log book and pencil, a few small canal related swaps. (Beware the nettles! Have added attribute for thorns, but thought "poisonous plants was a bit extreme)
