A
limerick is a five-line poem written with one couplet and one
triplet. The standard form for a
limerick is a five line format with the rhyming scheme aabba (the
first, second, and last lines rhyme with one another, and the
fourth and fifth lines usually use a different rhyme, and rhyme
only with each other).
Some people say that
the limerick was invented by soldiers returning from France to the
Irish town of Limerick in the 1700's.
To
claim a find you must do two things!
1.
Find the cache container and sign log.
2. Log
your find online in the form of a limerick.
Limericks are meant to be funny. They often contain
hyperbole, idioms, puns, and other figurative devices. The
last line of a good limerick contains the PUNCH LINE or "heart of
the joke." As you work with limericks, remember to have pun, I mean
FUN!
Credit will be given if you
at least make an attempt to compose a limerick. Just a "found it"
will be deleted.
There was an old cacher named

Who could hide with a special
knack.
So if you feel lucky,
like a young ducky.
Go ahead and give it a
whack!
Yes my feeble attempt at a
