Capt. Binghamton: Commander, how would you and your men like two
days with nothing to do but play in the sun, go geocaching, picnic
on an island, roast some s'mores around a campfire, hmm?
Lieut. Comdr. Quinton McHale: Two whole days? Woo hooo, oh
that'd be a wonderful change sir. Yes sir.
Capt. Binghamton: Knock it off McHale. That's what you do every
day!
Capt. Binghamton: What is it McHale, what do you want what,
what, what?
Quinton McHale's band of South Seas pirates never met anything
like this crew!
Rambler and his Penguin Pirates are embarking on a geocaching
lake cruise and you are invited!
Come spend Labor Day Weekend caching and camping on Cherokee
Lake.
We have rented a pontoon boat and a pavillion for dinner at
Card'nal Cove
Resort in Rutledge, TN (37861).
Lotsa of boat-accessible caches to hunt nearby!
See updated information below.
Have a boat you want to bring? Great! Getting to the cache on a
knee-board or water skis certainly adds a new dimension to
geocaching!
Everyone going on the cruise please register your intent in your
Will Attend log so we know how many to plan for.
Everyone, including those that did not go on the cruise, is
invited to join us at the pavilion at 7 p.m.
EDIT TO DINNER PLAN
I looked at the costs of this event and had to back off of
offering a catfish dinner for everyone, much as I would love to,
'cause my house remodeling plan is WAY over budget and GeoRose is
counting!!
So, the new plan is pot-luck, bring your own fixins - with a
twist! I will have my deep-fryers and will be cooking fried
catfish, a Cajun boil (green beans, red potatoes, corn and shrimp)
and fried green tomatoes, so if that's what you want, bring the
amount your group will eat (have the fish thawed by 6:30 or so) and
I will cook it!
Acknowledging that some folks with poor judgement don't eat
catfish, there will also be a gas cookstove and a grill available
if you want to cook or heat up something else
ADDENDUM - Bubbles brought 10 lbs of yard bird so I will be
bbqing that for whoever wants it.
