Located a short distance away from River Lee along the old Buntingford train line. You can push a wheelchair up to alongside the cache.
This is a continuation from the Fantastic Cat and Essex Kellys series between Fieldes Weir and Hertford. Further caches along the route to come.
The cache container is a sandwich tupperware box. Log book (no pencil at present), several goodies and a TB were inside at time of placing. After finding this cache please take care when replacing.
The cache is on the old Buntingford to Hertford/London line. It was opened in 1863 and closed in 1964. Remains of old sleepers can be seen along this path. This cache is also close to the Amwell Reserve where Bitterns can be seen amongst other rare birds.
