Tenth Anniversary Event Event Cache

A time to visit and swap stories about caching adventures. Wigoweb has been caching for ten years.

During August of 2005 friends visiting our lakeside camp in the Adirondacks invited us to go find a geocache. Off we went and promptly DNF'ed the first two attempts, but were successful with the third try. Here is a link to that very first log written by Wigoweb, Kiss the Pig. Quite a story with our first cache. Briefly, our good friend Marie climbed up on the rock to give the pig a kiss, but she fell and shattered her ankle. We helped her over the guardrail, back into the car (it wasn't a cachemobile yet) and drove 40 miles to the nearest medical facility.

Our 100th find was a big deal. We went with our son and twelve year old grandson who is now a physics/computer science major doing research at Rowan. Dino-Dig by Dirty_Bird and BigNastyBrain

Since that memorable beginning we have cached in every state east of the Mississippi and met lots of nice folks. We hope to continue caching for a while longer.

We are inviting any and all cachers to visit with us at a brief anniversary event in a nice, fairly new, park in Corbin City, NJ. We will have some refreshments, ice cream and some kind of soda or water. 

We need to plan how much ice cream, so please post a Will Attend with the number in your group. Time 11:00 am until 12 noon or the ice cream is gone.
