Speidingens hus (House of Scouting) Mystery Cache

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

ENG:This building contains the offices of both the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association, the Norwegian YWCA/YMCA Scouts and the Norwegian Scout and Guide Fellowship.

NOR:I denne bygningen har både Norges speiderforbund, Norges KFUK/KFUM-speidere og St. Georgs Gildene sine kontorer.

Norges speiderforbund (NSF) er en barne- og ungdomsorganisasjon grunnlagt i 1978 ved sammenslåingen av Norsk Speidergutt-Forbund (NSF, grunnlagt 1911) og Norsk Speiderpikeforbund (NSPF, grunnlagt 1921). Pr. 2006 har NSF 20 000 medlemmer fordelt på 590 speidergrupper.

Speiderorganisasjonen Norges KFUK-KFUM-speidere ble dannet 11. oktober 2003, som følge av en sammenslåing av Norges KFUK-speidere (stiftet 3. november 1920) og Norges KFUM-speidere (stiftet 1945 under NSF, eget speiderforbund i 1978). KFUK-KFUM-speiderne har 13.514 (2006) medlemmer av begge kjønn, alder fra seks år og oppover. Arbeidet drives lokalt enten kjønnsblandet eller kjønnsdelt.

Både Norges Speiderforbund og KFUK-KFUM-speiderne er medlemmer av Speidernes Fellesorganisasjon.

St. Georgs Gildene i Norge ble stiftet i 1952 og er en del av den verdensomspennende organisasjonen "International Scout and Guide Fellowship" (ISGF). Det er en organisasjon som ble stiftet for voksne som ønsker å fortsette, ta opp igjen eller starte på speidervegen. Det er ca. 90 St. Georgs Gilder med mellom 10 til 50 medlemmer i hvert gilde.
