Geocache Description:

A nice quiet downhill walk to the cache. Please refrain from talking, but do listen to the sounds around you instead.


Number 1 of the


"Kona Heritage Corridor Series"


This cache is located in a "Gated Community" but is easily accessible by foot. Use the small gate on the left side of the 'Main Gate' and follow the trail.
- On the way to the cache you'll see coffee and other trees that were in full bloom when I placed this cache. You might even encounter the chickens and roosters that live here too or the odd mongoose scurrying about.
Please feel free to walk around and look back in time when this place was still in its prime. The earliest known occupants have been here for more than 150 years when the area was inhabited by mostly Chinese migrants.

    The Keauhou Store , buildings have been upgraded, painted and the property beside the pathway is all cleaned up by the new owners Kurt & Thea. (Feb2011)
