Geocache Description:

Second Annual
Saxon After-CITO Picnic

This is the companion event to the Saxon Woods CITO (GC5N00Q) taking place on the same day in this park. Since the Parks Department lets us use the Picnic Pavillion, it would be a shame not to have a snack together after we finish with the CITO.

It is of course perfectly okay to just attend the picnic, if participating in the CITO isn't your thing, or doesn't work for you time-wise.

The pavillion has plenty of fire places and grills, and like last year, Ovaron volunteered to stoke the fire and burn some greasy dogs and mystery meat patties that we will gladly put into fluffy bread to provide for the hardy CITO crew. If you plan to contribute additional edibles or logistics to a larger communal meal, please mention such in the "Will Attend" log, so that we don't end up with six gallons of maccaroni salad :).

The event starts around noon, or whenever the CITO workers return from their soggy mud pit, and will end once we have eaten. But at least one of us (and a logbook) will be at the picnic pavillion from noon until 1pm.

While Saxon Woods is renowned to be well plastered with caches, rumor has it that there still will be a new hide or two, and we will also again hold a raffle among the CITO participants, to give away some goodies. In other words, two hours of pulling plastic bottles, bald tires and dead skunks from the mud for GC5N00Q can potentially buy you a free lunch, a raffle ammocan win, and a FTF on a brand new cache. What is there not to like? :D.
