This cache is inspired by Shakespeare's history Richard
II. A synopsis of the play as well as the full text can be
found here. This is the first play in the series of
histories known as "the Wars of the Roses." I saw this play
along with the six other histories in the series performed in a
single weekend - 21+ hours - by the English Shakespeare
Company.
"As in a theatre, the eyes of
men,
After a well-graced actor leaves the stage,
Are idly bent on him that enters next,
Thinking his prattle to be tedious."
(Act V, Scene II)
Like all my other Shakespeare caches, you do not have to read
the play to find the cache.
The Area
I knew there were some trails that led to this pond, but none
were obvious. While exploring the area, this is the only public
access I found leading to the pond. Start at the trailhead and
follow the trail until you reach a snowmobile trail. Follow that
trail to the cache. The walk will bring you through some nice
forest along some interesting wetlands.
I hope you enjoy the area.
