Geocache Description:

The first in what may become an occasional series of caches. Apart from your geocaching skills, a bit of simple logic and a methodical mind are all you need to solve this one.

This cache will take you on a short tour of Snakemoor, a small nature reserve just outside Haddenham. The land is owned by AVDC, but the reserve is maintained by Haddenham Parish Council and local volunteers for the benefit of the community. You can read more about the reserve here. You are not going to see adders here, but if you’re lucky you may see grass snakes. If you do, please admire them but on no account interfere with them; apart from being a protected species, they are completely harmless to you, your children and dogs.

There is limited parking at the gate just west of Haddenham railway station (Haddenham with Thame Parkway ) on the Haddenham – Thame road.

Listed below are a number of statements. The location above is for a micro, which contains a number of similar statements and the co-ords for a second micro with further statements. You must use the facts contained in all three lots of statements to decipher the co-ords for the final cache (use the grids below to help, or you may find it useful to print out image 4 and take a pair of scissors to it! Then decide which pieces to discard and shuffle the remaining ten pieces about to fit all the statements)

Four of the colours can be inferred from the given co-ords

Three colours appear twice

Bottom centre and bottom right are the same

Once you have arranged the colours so that all the statements are true, you should end up with a two rows of five colours each, one or more of which may be repeated. The top row represent the northings and the bottom the westings, so reading from left to right substitute each colour for a number from this grid:

and now use this table to translate these colours onto the co-ords for the final cache.
