The cache is located on a 107 acre wooded area that was donated to the Johnson County Heritage Trust in order to preserve the area against future development. They are new to the idea of geocaching, so I have worked with them to try and establish a policy, and are currently limiting me to placing 1 geocache on all of their properties. They currently own 5 beautiful properties in the Johnson County area. Please enjoy the scenery and remember to CITO!

The cache container is a simple lock 'n lock box, since I was only approved to place a plastic container. It is painted to match its surroundings, and labled "Geocache"
The scenery out in the turkey creek area is very wonderful, but what makes this site unique is the antique artifact that is located next to the cache. Please do not post photos of the artifact, or discuss what it is in your log. Save the suprise for the cache finders!
The journey should be pretty straight forward until you come to the rock outcrop. From there you have to find your way up, but it involves no difficult climbing. I am starting this cache as a basic search and find, but if I'm given the approval, I may make this a day/night style cache.
I will give one warning. Be careful of old and downed barbed wire fences. All of the trails and the cache site are located on JCHT property, but there are many old fences that are still lurking around, especially near the rock wall. The park boundary fences are in much better shape and are hard to miss, so don't wander over those.
