KFC - Kid Friendly Caches. I have young children who enjoy geocaching so I decided to start the KFC series for my littlest cachers. They will also have lots of cool SWAG because, as my wife says, toddlers are hoarders and love little trinkets. Feel free to add to the series!
This cache takes its name from one of my favorite stories. The Giving Tree is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Shel Silverstein. It has become one of Silverstein's best known titles and has been translated into numerous languages. The cache is hidden in a great tree.
This cache is located along the Linear Trail in Erwin. If you park at the given coordinates and walk along the trail there are numerous other caches nearby. It's a great day with kids!
You can seek this cache day or night. There are lights along the trail.
Please park in designated parking areas along the trail.
You will need to step off the trail to find this one, but it's not too far and it's flat.
