The coordinates are for the picnic area that I scoped out. It's a nice spot with two large picnic tables and a grill. There is another picnic table and grill a short distance away, should we encounter any overflow.
There are a lot of caches in the area for those who want to head out on a hunt, before, during, or after the event. Use zipcode 07405 to find the nearby caches. Since many of you have already found most of the area caches, I will also try to plant several just for the event, and I welcome any others who are interested in doing so.
I will supply the charcoal, and also have a small gas grill I can bring along. I'll bring some food too, but we should hash out who is bringing what kind food and drink on this cache page. Or else we'll wind up with 200 hamburger patties and no tofu-dogs. On second thought, no tofu-dogs may not be such a bad idea.
The picnic areas in this park are first-come, first-serve, unless you are in one of the "permit" sections. Since we are not, we'll have to get there early. I may be able to blow off my soccer practice, to claim the spot early in the morning. Anyway, I don't forsee a rush to grab these picnic areas this time of the year. However if anybody else is willing to get there as early as possible to hang out and claim the spot, that would be great. We can discuss this in the Northeast forum, or on this page.
