Geocache Description:

The hardest part about this cache will be getting to the start point!! If you plan on driving to cache GC2124R to start this cache do so at your own risk you will have to cross private property that is marked no trespassing!!

There are routes to hike to Brownstone Canyon from Calico Basin and The Rock Quarry on the Red Rock Scenic loop!!Once you get to the 1st stage it is only about a mile hike to the final stage!! Also you will be able to hike to all the stages standing up right. There is no need to climb any rock walls, there is any easy way to all the stages!! This cache will take you to a couple Civilian Conservation Corp projects! I couldn't find much information on the projects but as soon as I do I will post it here. While in Brownstone Canyon be sure to check out the agave roasting pits. I put a reference point where there is a BLM sign giving some information about the Agave roasting pits, for the easiest route to the 1st stage I recommend starting at that sign!! There is also a lot of indian petroglyphs and pictographs on the walls of the canyon, I saw the most on the west facing walls!! While your in the canyon keep an eye out for wild life I have seen numerous Big Horn Sheep, rabbits, quail, hawks coyotes and lots of small critters!! Be sure to take plenty of water and watch out for desert critters that bite or sting!!
