Geocache Description:

The Airborne HALO PASS cache was placed here today by SGTABN82 and team. It is in honor of all HALO jumpers, past and present. PARKING CORDS: N35 09.622 W078 58.225 There are many ways to approach the cache, I suggest entering the trailhead at CORDS: N35 09.662 W078 58.305

We are a proud member of the Military Association of Geocachers (MAGC):

If you approach the cache from the East, West, or South you will need Rope and climbing equipment to desend into the canyon. It is a sheer cliff(who would have thought there was a Sheer cliff with a 40 foot drop off in the middle of the city). If you approach from the North at the above listed cords, it is slightly easier to approach the cache. I did it in shorts and a t-shirt. The cache is 3/4 of the way up the sheer face of the cliff. Is placed under an overhanging ledge. You must desend to the bottom of the canyon first, then approach the cache from below. I do not think iy is possible to get to the cache from above unless you have ropes and climbing equipment. This is a in the middle of a triangle, NO Rail road tracks within 1 mile, This is NOT on a Military Reservation. It is over 700 feet from the nearest cache. Happy hunting!!!
