Geocache Description:

Cache is a small lockable container. The trailhead is right out of the parking lot and it is 1.3 miles to the summit. The cache is a bit beyond the summit and view.

Information about this conserved land along with trail info and map can be found at the following website for Francis Small Heritage Trust:
http://www.fsht.org/sawyer.html
and: http://www.fsht.org/FSHT_map.pdf The trail can be difficult to follow, so it would be wise to print the map and description and watch carefully for the rare trail blazes. One can make a loop by taking the "road" back to the parking lot, but it is very eroded and no shorter than the trail.

An older cache can be found on the way up. Wear blaze orange during hunting season unless you come on Sunday (Maine does not allow hunting on Sunday.)

There is a large foundation and other rock-work including a well near the intersection of the new trail and the old road.

The cache is not winter friendly, but it would be easy to dig out if the snow was not too deep.
