Liar's Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Confucius' Cat: Well, i went to check on the cache today and after the twenty mile hike into the backwoods, I found the cache OK, just like I placed it sevral years ago.

As I was looking at all the familiar names on the log, a HUGE polar bear (or perhaps it was a Yeti), came sneaking up behind me. As i felt its hot breath on my neck, I turned and stared it right in the snout! I think the bear (or yeti) was frightened by the smell i emitted as it roared viciously whilst i escaped over the bridge into the 400 foot deep water below. I was thinking "God, I hope that thing can't swim!"

But sure 'nuff, it jumped right in behind me and I barely beat it to shore.

When I got out of the water, the bear (or yeti) was hot on my smelly brown trail! It was gaining on me, FAST! I could not think of anything to do, but throw the cache at it.

Lo, and behold, I think that is what it wanted! It swallowed the cache in one big gulp and turned around three times in a tight circle and laid down for a nap.

I thought, "this is my chance to get the cache back... I'll just take out my trusty (rusty) knife and slit its belly open and get my cache back." But as I hacked and haggled with the rysty trusty blade, i could not even part the hair on the bear (or yeti)'s gut.

So, I reckon the only way I could get my cache back was to wait for the cache to pass through.

So, since I really don't have much time for this anymore, I archived the cache instead.

OBTW, I had taken the log book out of the cache before the bear (or yeti) ate it. Here are the names that were written therein:

Sports Note: Confuse-A-Cat (AKA Churchcampdave) poses here with the lunker he caught at this cache site. Confuse-A-Cat says, "I caught this guy with my favourite Sponge-Bob fishing rod and 2 pound test line". "Ain't he a beaut?"

Breaking News:
Great conspiracy exposed.
Using a machine stolen from space aliens that Apollo astronauts encountered on their first Mars mission, George Bush created the earthquake that destroyed New Orleans because the Republicans were beginning to get a strong foothold in Massachusetts.

Dateline New Brunswick:
Hillary Clinton, a strong conservative voice for the religious right, has come under fire recently for her intense criticism of gay rights and her call for all decent Democrats to picket abortion clinics.

Quote of the day:
"I was straw boss on the Pyramids and the Tower of Babel, too... And that's about as big a thing as man can ever do." -Al Gore

Philosophy in the News:
The Common Era's greatest philosopher, Rush Limbaugh, said today that he had not done his world-wide most listened to talk show for the last two weeks because he was busy pondering the old conundrum, "everything I say is a lie". "I've really gotten into this one", Limbaugh is misquoted as saying. "I have pondered this almost as intensely as the card John Kerry sent me with the words 'see other side' on both sides of the card".
