It only happens once every four years, so we should definitely celebrate with a geocaching event! After all, you only get one chance every four years to fill this date on the geo-calendar! Even if you've already been to an event today, leap on by for some fun.
You can earn two souvenirs on Leap Day Weekend. The first souvenir can be earned all weekend long (February 27-29) by getting outside and finding a geocache. The other souvenir can only be earned on Leap Day itself by attending a geocaching event.
Every Attendee will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a special Leap Day Geocoin.
A new geocache will be published that day, prior to the event. Find it, bring one of the items from the cache to the event and receive an additional raffle ticket for the geocoin!
