Geocache Description:

Cache is not at posted coordinates (CINAPC). (If that's not a valid geocacing acronym by now, it oughta be.)

***Congratulations to pcanning for FTF***

10-year-old Marisa enjoyed our cache, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, so much that she wanted to make her own. She devised the puzzle below which will lead you to her hidden cache.

The posted coordinates will take you to the Sequalitchew Creek bridge in DuPont. From this point you can view the location of the second Fort Nisqually as it existed in the 1840s and 50s. (The fort is no longer there. What remained has been moved to Point Defiance park in Tacoma.)

There are two signs at opposite ends of the bridge. Read the signs to learn about the creek and the history of the fort (which was the first European settlement in the Puget Sound area), and use the information on both signs to fill in the coordinates.
