I drove by this and was surprised there was not a cache here. Yet
at the same time I understood why. People park here during the day.
Especially in the summer when it is hot. I used to park under the
bridge also to keep your car cool.
They cemented up the ends so kids wouldnt play there and to keep
the hobos that ride the rails from staying there. However there are
pidgeons everywhere. Normally you can allways find traps to the
north where the city lets people who raise pidgeons trap them and
take them home. They are 10-20 yards north and much higher up.
There is a pull in to park here if you come in from the West, on
the East you will need to park in an old train unloading station
that the hardware stores used to unload wood and supplies from the
train. They went away some time ago and now its just an empty lot
up for sale.
Stay off the railway property 30-40 yards to the north. It is
nowhere near there. And the police and railway monitor and ticket
people who get on the railroad property. I know when used to work
here and lived a few blocks north I walked on nice days..thought I
would cross and paid the price, with a nice visit from a K9 cop who
pointed out I was crossing private property.
