Q.F.C. Quite Fearless Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nana Bear: Oh, I feel so badly about losing this cache. It was fun. But I have probably put a pound of glints here over the years, and replaced the cache three times.
So, this time I went out prepared to place more glints and let it go longer. But all but two of the glints had gone this time, and I just didn't have enough left to fill in the gaps.
We have noticed many times that the parking lots in front of and behind QFC attract a lot of skateboarders;who kows if the glints attracted them too many times?
So, one more cache down the tube.

Geocache Description:

A half-mile night hike, nothing to be afraid of!

THIS IS A NIGHT-ONLY CACHE!REQUIRED EQUIPMENT GPSrPOWERFUL Flashlight(s) with spare batteries.

OK- I am sure most of you will find your way out of this urban forest; just follow the glints in and use your backtracking! The glints used are Super Stealth Fire Tacks® which are virtually invisible in daylight. They are also EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to see with a normal incandescent flashlight unless you hold the flashlight at EYE LEVEL! Otherwise, use an LED spotlight!

Fair warning! If you can do this one in daylight, you are more than welcome to log the find!

What IS this? An urban night-time cache for the faint of heart, for those who don’t want to get into spider webs, wet leaves, snapping-drippy-twigs-in-the-face trails that wander into endless scary places.

Park at the above coordinates, then with your back to the store, look for glints in the parking lot. Do not wander off the pathways- no mud or grass or wet stuff here! (You will have to get off the trail in two spots only.)

Oh, if your heart is faint enough you may get spooked in the vastness of the concrete jungle, but keep going!

It’s a plastic thermal drink container painted black, obviously a little hidden so it doesn’t get muggled. But you won’t get slimed, pawed, or clawed retrieving it. And when you reach the final glints, you’ll be within 2 feet of the final.

I love how geocachers become a community of people who help each other and share ideas so freely. Thanks to Blue Heron for the Fire Tacks® info.

Now, go “fearless” into that good night!

Oh- congrats to Mother Nature on the daylight FTF!
