In the municipality of Hauho, near the villages of Sappee and
Mustila there's a forthill of Hyypiö. Hyypiö translates into
something like 'creep', 'oddball' or 'oddity', but the original
meaning for this old Finnish word is 'Northern eagle owl' (Bubo
bubo).
There are probably several ways to the area, but at least one of
them is to turn to Sappee direction from the highway 12 near the
parish village of Hauho. After couple of kilometers there's a
junction to Mustila, and when you take that road, there's a sign of
'Hyypiön linnavuori' to the left quite soon. From that point you
have to continue on foot.
The cache is somewhere at the magnificent cliffs of the
forthill.
Hauhon kunnassa, lähellä Sappeen ja Mustilan kyliä, sijaitsee
Hyypiön linnavuori. Sana 'hyypiö' tarkoittaa alkujaan huuhkajaa
(Bubo bubo).
Paikalle on luultavasti useampiakin reittejä, mutta ainakin yksi
niistä on kääntyä Sappeen suuntaan valtatie 12:lta lähellä Hauhon
kirkonkylää.Muutaman kilometrin päässä on Mustilan tienristeys, ja
sitä tietä ajaessa löytyy hetken kuluttua vasemmalla Hyypiön
linnavuoren viitta. Tästä eteenpäin on jatkettava jalan.
Kätkö on jossain linnavuoren jylhillä kallioilla.
