A Decon container to help populate the Backbone Trail in Topanga
State Park. We came up from Will Rogers State park, where there is
a $7.00 parking fee.
All day long we were bothered by flies, whether we were in the sun,
the shade, walking, and especially standing still. They were
everywhere. Let's hope that you don't have the same problem
when you go.

November 6 by dbir (1027 found) First, parking at WRSHP has gone up. It's now $12 (seniors: $11). Ouch.Out doing the last 7.5 miles (15 R/T) of the eastern end of the Backbone Trail on a nice cool day. Not much flys nor ants. Geotrample has made this one easy to find. Thanks.
[view this log] | July 26 by paleolith (433 found) A short walk from Lone Oak! I walked past here once since it was hidden but did not have it in my GPSr that day and it's an easy find! Plugged in "next cache", it's .26 mile away. Nope, I'm out of energy and need all I've got to make it back to WRSHP, so this is the turnaround point for the day. Perhaps I'll get the rest by coming in from Free Parking ... need to check the maps.Edward
[view this log] | June 6 by location_scouts (123 found) No flies but Dana toyed with the wrong rock and unleashed an angry army of ants that sent her flying. Left a Free Itunes Andrew Bird download. 15 out of 22 towards the spinal tap on this day.
[view this log] | May 26 by GWRoss (1939 found) When my GPSr beeped, I slowed to a saunter to allow it to catch up with me. Within a few steps I had spotted what I was sure would be the hiding spot. ... And I was right.I was glad that the flies weren't as bad today as they were when the cache was hidden. (I've been up here on days like that.) Thanks for the cache!
[view this log] | May 9 by Let's Fly (1809 found) I found this cache while participating in the 2009 Backbone Trail Trek (visit link) a seven day hike from Pt. Mugu State Park to Will Rogers State Park. Not too many bugs today. It was sunny, but there was a cool breeze coming up off the ocean. Quick find in a logical spot. Thanks for hiding it.
