Placed as part of the Team WHO Fizzy Day event. Cache is along a new section of the Heart of Iowa Trail. You can reach this cache from the trail...you can park along 597th Ave. and walk up the old railroad access road to reach the trail.
This quaint tunnel under the old railroad bed reminds me of another tunnel through a railroad fill in Omaha with a rural gravel road passing through it when it was built in the early 1900's. Fifty years later, a bustling four-lane 84th St. funneled down to pass through what TV ads called "that awful tunnel"...which has since been removed. DON'T VENTURE TOO FAR PAST THE CONCRETE GUARD RAILS ON THE TRAIL, or the terrain rating quickly goes to a 6 and you'll be eating 597th Ave...
