The trail along the Gaspereau River, located in an impressively deep ravine, is one of the most beautiful in the area. You can walk upstream for 4 or 5 km, but the cache itself is located midway, just under 2k from the trail head. Park on either side of the White Rock bridge over the Gaspereau River: N 45°02.940' N064°24.859.
As we understand it, this trail was once part of the post road that came up the Valley from Annapolis Royal. In the late 1800s someone was going to build a mill on the river about 1km upstream from White Rock and thus some improvements were made on the road. The mill was never built, however. Not long ago the trail was in need of serious maintenance, and so Wolfville resident Cecil Pulsifer took on the project. He did a great job and we are all indebted to him. The cache container is a 1.5 litre cammo'd plastic jar. It contains a log book, gift certificates, toys, a TB, etc. Kid friendly. The trail can be a bit muddy, especially at the beginning. Wear appropriate footwear.
