Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Elizabethtown, and can be found inside Arnold’s Café. The coordinates at the top of this page are for the parking area. Arnolds Café is open Monday thru Saturday from 7:00am to 9:00pm, closed on Sunday. No purchase is necessary to log this cache.

While I was deployed twice in support of Iraqi Freedom, Jack’s was a coffee tent that was set up by the Chaplin’s Association. No matter how bad and how homesick you would get, you could always count on Jack’s to lift your spirits and for a moment make you forget where you were. Jack’s featured leather couches, free coffee a private study room and a game room.

The reason I have placed this cache within this coffee shop, is that every time I go into one of these shops I think for a moment about the peace that was had while at Jack’s. Jack’s as I knew it has now been torn down and I am told that there has been a new Jack’s placed within the new hardend shelters that replaced the tent city. I can only hope that this new Jack’s bring the peace to our airmen and soldiers that it did for me.

The book that is placed at this cache has a section on geocaching as well as sections for you to display photos of you geocaching adventures. Feel free to brows through the pictures.
