As the name of my cache implies I am a sentry, a lookout.
I keep watch while others sleep. My shift is limited due to where I work. I usually am only on the job from maybe mid June until mid October. This could vary depending upon the snowfall.
This will also affect if or not you can reach me except during those months. Sometimes I hear a noise like a motor during the deepest months of winter. I don't know what it is I hear. Could it be someone going by on a snowmachine?
Anyway, I usually sleep on the off hours and am up and doing my job during the shift hours. I have a extreemly wonderful view. Maybe 40 or 50 miles of the Platte River valley, I can see the Sierra Madre range to the west, Snowy Range to the southeast. I can see the towns of Encampment and Saratoga. If I had more powerful eyes I could see Laramie.
A road comes to within maybe 30 feet of my home. Not sure about a normal car but no problem for all wheel drive cars and of course 4X4's. A good place to start would be where Fr 100 goes east off of state highway 130 about 20 miles from Saratoga. I live very high. They tell me the elevation here is about 10,808. So that should help you to understand where I reside. I live in a green ammo can.
