Lost*And*Found: What was once a path is now like a jungle... not what was intended!

Geocache Description:

High path overlooking Water & Sewage plants, but with otherwise great views.

SERIES DESCRIPTION

Our first series of caches was in and around Badger, & Badger Dingle, Shropshire. So, we thought we’d follow-up that series to make the most of the wonderful countryside in the area, by doing another series from the nearby village of Beckbury. The caches are mostly in the area of countryside south of Beckbury, & heading down to the north of Badger, so could be considered an extension of the previous series.

Difficulty & Terrain Rating relate to the series rather than the individual caches.

We’ve done our best to give accurate GPS Coordinates by taking lots of ‘Average’ readings. But, most of the area has undulations & lots of tree cover, & so we have tried to provide comprehensive ‘Hints’ & ‘Spoiler’ pictures where necessary, to minimise search times, & enjoy the location.

This is meant to be a challenging series. Most of the caches are easily accessible, but there are parts (mainly near the river) that may be unsuitable for small children. Some areas may be overgrown (in the Summer), & muddy (in the Winter).

Containers are Small, & Micro. They contain a log & a pencil; but it would be advisable to bring your own writing implement to sign the log.

The main aim of this series is to provide a great walk through some good terrain with nice views. Isn’t that what caching is all about?

There’s no clear cut circular route, so we’ve not put them in any particular order. The walk round will be a few miles, but depends on how adventurous you are, especially crossing the river.

PARKING @ BECKBURY...
Parking is not easy in Beckbury, but the following location on the road up from the church, may be the best...
52°36.680'N, 2°20.847'W
Alternatively, it may be possible to park on the road heading west from the village pub, but it depends on your vehicle size, & how many other visitors there are, so it’s best to use your discretion. Parking in the village pub car park is not recommended as it may attract a charge; but we’re not sure what their policy is now (there’s always been an issue with ’Ramblers’ parking there!).
