Groundspeak has received an email from the Southbury Land Manager as follows:

Hello-We are pretty upset over here at the Southbury Land Trust (zip code 06488, Connecticut). One of our members found some discussion on your message boards regarding several of our town properties and some notations from your posters regarding "ignoring posted warnings 'town residents only'". While I have spent some time on your web site, and it seems your members are interested in protecting the environment, we are not happy about the promotion and encouragement of visiting our parks and land trust properties, unless they are indeed residents of the town. These lands are paid for and protected by our residents and are not open to the public. As we are short on resources, we have little means to enforce this other than signage, which we expect to be respected. Anything you can do to support us is certainly appreciated.

Geocache Description:

This is a recipe cache located in the Platt Park in Southbury. To log this cache a recipe for a soup or stew should be sent to the cache owner.

This is a three part multi-cache, newly relocated from the original location. Because this is a new location, it may be found and logged again by anyone who had found it at the original location. The coordinates shown take you to the first part of the multi-cache. Parking is at the same location as for Platt Park Stony Hill cache.

When logging this cache, to keep with the theme, you should supply a unique stew or soup recipe. Please just write the name of the recipe in the log, and then e-mail the recipe itself to me (and yes, I will test it out! J). If you found the cache and want one of the other recipes listed in the log, just drop me an e-mail and I’ll forward you a copy. This way, no one has to copy recipe cards out in the woods. The recipes will be published in some form in the future.

The cache is a midsize plastic cookie container. It starts out with cooking related trade items such as magic dish towels, pastry brush, spoon holder, tea ball, and so on, as well as a few toys for kids. Please try to stick with the cooking theme for trade items.
