An afternoon’s caching event.
An event; to eat, gossip and race against the clock.
Anyone interested?
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIME HAS CHANGED DUE TO CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING AT 6PM IN PORT ORCHARD!

Time? Saturday 4th of December, at 7pm. Although you will have to start out sometime between noon and 5pm to be there!
Place? The gathering point to be a mexican restaurant, exact location to be discovered by waypoint!
Reason? A. To Geocache, as geocaching is the only reason. B To meet other geocachers searching the same clues at the same time! C. To talk geocaching as long as we want. D. To eat pizza.
Concept? 4-6 temporary game pieces hidden within walking distance in and around the city of Port Orchard.
Theme? Christmas! You may bring a wrapped gift to exchange- Christmas or Geo oriented of course! This is optional- no requirement!
The minor details? We will supply the coordinates for the game pieces (wp's) at noon on that day, by posting four new geocaches, in two of which you will find the coordinates that you need to find the meeting place!
You will have from then until 7pm to discover the rest of the pieces.
The legal stuff? To meet with the guidelines for an event cache: if you really don’t have time to do the waypoints, call or email us and we will GIVE you the location. And won’t even tell the others. Just turn up and join in.
Who is invited? Geocachers and their families, of course- children will be welcomed (bring a gift for each child, if you bring a child!)! Would-be geocachers welcome, of course.
Anything else left out we can just make up along the way.
Keep posted for updates. Oh and please leave a note if you want to attend. We need to help out the restaurant with room size!
So come on- all you geocachers who have given us so much pleasure with incredible, multiple hides. Get down here!
*** 11-18-04 addendum we are including FOUR new caches that will be up on event day, in Port Orchard.
Look for them: "Jingle Bells", "Log Cabin", "Stroll along the Boardwalk" and "Nightwalker". The latter is a night cache- it'll be dark enough by 5pm to do that one!
11-28-04 addendum! Festival of Lights and Chimes and Reindeer Games Downtown Port Orchard- Activities start at 3p.m. Reindeer Games, Hay Rides, Entertainment, etc. Tree lighting, & Santa Arrival at City Hall 6 p.m. free family entertainment. Nautical Christmas Lane with lighted boats-Port Orchard Marina.
This could be more fun- or more muggles; I don't know! Santa will be sitting for pictures at the Log Cabin Museum on Sidney, from 1-4pm
