Chuy!: Bad news twofold: the cache is AWOL and this area is now being developed. Whah! Whah!.

I'll be keeping an eye on things as there are some nice trails nearby, but gotta wait and see how far the developement encroaches.

Thanks to all that visited.

Geocache Description:

This cache has a dog theme and was place to honor Ginger, our golden retriever geodog, turning a year old.

The hike to the cache is about 1.17 miles, each way, with an 830 ft elevation gain along a maintained fire road. No bushwhacking or off-trail hiking is required nor encouraged. The container is a regular sized ammo can under a large boulder. Please use a stick to poke around for snakes before reaching in with your hand.

From Moreno Ave. (or Hwy 67) head east on San Vicente Ave. Then turn left on Rocky Lane and zig zag to the parking coords.

A 4X4 vehicle can currently reach the cache; a white fence after the first ascent is broken, allowing vehicles to sweeze by. However, when fixed, only short wheelbased 4X4 vehicles will be able to park near the fence and be able to make the tight u-turn.
Dogs Allowed Woof Woof, don't leave me home
Steep Hike Steep Hike (about a 15% grade in one portion)
Scenic View Scenic View (after an 800 elevation gain, there better be one)
