The cache is a micro, located near the entrance to The Thacher
School. The GPS signal is a little weak because of the oaks, so let
your geosense be your guide. [:D] Parking should be available along
McAndrew.
Thacher is a boarding high school that was founded in 1889 - and it
also just happens to be the gateway to Horn Canyon as well!
 The cache is available whether the
gate is open or closed. Enjoy the beauty of the east end, and have
fun adding another smiley to your list!

We had quite a few folks looking for this, and my husband went to school here. Maybe we're blind, but we couldn't find it! We'll try again next time.

Not sure why there was so many cars going thru the gate @ 1030 Sat morning. Made searching difficult. After spotting the cache, we hid behind the brick pillar & waited out several cars before grabbing this one. TFTC

Out with the Friday crowd of Big Eagle, Socalifsue, TOHiker, and Insidevc. We had to curtail our search on the way to the trailhead as there were many "watchers". Found it on the return trip.

This was a bit creepy. Especially with five people milling around. When that one grenade launcher pointed at me I jumped back in the car. A little less intimidating on the return and quick find. Thanks for the cache, but you might get complaints.
