WARNING: There have been TWO reported bear sightings by cachers looking for this cache!
The cache is hidden somewhere on a heart-shaped rock outcrop on Cheyenne Mountain. You can see this large outcrop from many locations in Colorado Springs. The outcrop is toward the north end of Cheyenne Mountain. There are some steep parts which will require the use of hands. Not suitable in inclement weather.
The cache is a small plastic container covered in camouflage tape. It contains a waterproof log and some small pencils. The cache can be approached from the north or the south. The northern approach is longer but is mostly trailed to the base of the heart. The southern approach is shorter but may prove to be trickier. I took several GPS readings (it jumps around up near the cache site) and I selected the middle readings that came up most frequently. Use your "geocaching sense" rather than your GPS once you get close. If this heart had four chambers you would want to consider approaching the final from the right ventricle into the right atrium.
