Just needed any reason to come out here and hide a cache. This
place has always held some curiosity for me when I drive past, so
today I came down and checked it out. The fence all around the
place didn't seem to have any signs of ownership, but around the
far side, I spotted a "Property of City of Durham" lying on the
ground. It has all the appearances of an old waste water treatment
facility -- long since out of service.
You should have no trouble finding the cache, which is being
assisted in staying in place with a strong magnet. I really wanted
to place it on one of those structures just beyond the fence, but
that would be improper. So stay on the outside of the fence. Also,
please re-hide better than you found it so that local kids will not
vandalize it. There were some apparent indications of kids using
this area -- and they *were* tresspassing, so it's obvious to me
that they will not respect personal property.
Enjoy the cache! Oh, yeah, bring your own drinking water, cause
there's nothing here worth drinking!
