Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden underwater.  We were given special permission from the DNR to place this cache in the lake.  Please don't re-hide deep in the weeds.

If you've found my mom's nearby geocache "Swimming with Coco" you'll know that we like to bring our dog here to swim.  We were wondering how well she'd do on a canoe trip so we thought we'd test her out in the canoe at Ottawa.  Well...she didn't tip us over but she jumped in and out several times and it wasn't very easy to keep her still.  She just loves to swim too much!  We all got completely soaked in the canoe thanks to Coco so we've decided that - no dogs in the canoe!

This cache is hidden underwater.  It isn't very deep, probably 3-4' down.  We tried to weight it down where the weeds weren't so thick so people could actually find it, so please don't rehide in the weeds.

If you'll be approaching this with a boat you'll need to put in at the boat launch at N42 56.264 W88 28.934 and paddle across to the cache.  If you'd like to swim to the cache you could take one of the side trails from the campground and then swim the short distance to the cache.  I've also seen people walk across the lake from the boat launch/dog area through the shallow north end and around to the spot where we hid the geocache.  Please try and keep the inside of the cache dry so that it is signable for the next finder.
