Geocache Description:

This is the first geocache hidden by the Manncubs. We hope you like it.

The cache, a large ammo box, is located along the Wiltshire and Berkshire canal, close to the market town of Wootton Bassett, in Wiltshire.

This stretch of the canal has undergone remarkable restoration and is now a haven for wildlife and a great place to go for a walk.

The initial contents were:
When Harry Met Sally video, a notepad, bag of Lego bricks, Silliest Jokes Ever book, some blank CDs, Craft Bits teddy bears, an M People CD, a Supergrass CD and a couple of 135/24 exp films.
Please feel free to swap for something of similar value.

There’s also a log book for you to record your visit.

A further 1km along the footpath from the cache is the recently restored Chaddington Lock.
Restoration took 2 years and April 2005 saw the first boat pass through for 100 years.

Parking is available approx 1km from the cache, on Marlborough Road, at N51.31.917 , W001.53.953.

Please Note:
A railway line runs not far from the canal.
There is no need to cross the tracks at any of the crossings as the cache is on the canal side of the railway line.
